Xtracool has tested a range of ice boxes in Queensland summer conditions. The ice holding ratings of our Ice Boxes are backed up by these published tests.

Ice Boxes Tested: Start Date: 24th December 2009
Average Daily Max Temp: 29.4 degrees C
Average Daily Min Temp: 22.6 degrees C

The method

The method used simulated typical use as much as possible. The ice boxes were not cooled prior to the test. The ice boxes were completely filled with party ice purchased from a commercial ice works. Each ice box was opened for a 30 second period six times per day. The bung was removed to allow excess water to be drained once each day.
